Welcome to GORV and it's nice to see another Oregonian here. :o)

You are among fellow CrAzIeS here with digging up your rot quest that's for sure. :o)

I am anxious to see both of your campers when you get a chance. I am very interested to see what "level of repurposing" you are going to do on both of your rigs too.

Ours started out with wanting to replace the siding and then replacing some rotted boards. After I took the siding off and the whole front and collapsed it was then that I decided I would start from scratch. I think I was channeling the camper at that moment and thats what she was asking me to do, so I obliged. :o)

I have the plywood for my floors and with any luck I will be able to work on at least the floors this weekend. I also need to strip the metal frame paint it and coat it before I put the floor back on. I will probably replace the leaf springs with new ones since they are 42 years old.

It's a start adn I would love to have this camper ready by June. It just needs to be ready to be towed and campable. I don't need to have the heat, oven, bathroom, etc done by then, but I am trying too. :o)

Coool john I can't wait to see the pictures. I love seeing what other people are doing so I can either adopt or expand on their ideas. This is a great forum for all of the crazies out there like us. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to get my deck on my trailer and next weekend I hope to start working on the walls. I will be more relieved and encouraged once I have my walls up though.
