Welcome Garth, the very best way to learn is to do. This sight has a wealth of information for you to explore. there are how too's and blog as well as owner groups, you can post questions on topics from how to check tires to how to water proof the roof and anything in between. I've never been to Oregon but I know it is a beautiful State. I am just finishing up my first season of Motor Home camping (1978 C class). I started out camping at local State Parks and gained confidence in my camper and gradually increased my range.to date I have camped at 8 State Parks plus a race track. It is nice not to have to pop up my Coleman or pitch a tent. I think you will enjoy your Telstar. Again welcome

One thing Garth that I have found out in my first year is that the financial cost has diminished quite quickly as I have brought my RV up to standard. my biggest cost was tires. at 1500 or so and then new brakes and lines. I recommend those to be any ones first considerations. I have had a few issues like a blown fused link  and a furnace failure that cost me around $125.00 to fix. but other than that it's been a good experience. I think you will enjoy your investment and it's a good thing to plan on having a few hiccups along the way, i'ts going to happen and you may as well be prepared to accept it and not be frustrated when it does. It's all part of the experience.
