Oh ok,,, Ive used a wire brush lightly and it worked, But I can understand if you have thin aluminum, a drill mounted wire brush might be a bit harsh.  By the way,, what kind of paint stripper are you using?

To remove house paint use a wire brush on a drill,  Spins it right off.
