Another shot en-route to Hershey this past weekend. My brother owns the Roadmaster wagon and trailer. When he got that trailer a couple of years ago, I had to get a camper too. So it's his fault I have this Allegro. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

The LT1s run great. We've had a lot of them in the family and they never disappoint. I've had 2 Fleetwood limos with them - my current is a '94. My brother prefers the wagons - his current Roadmaster is a '96 with the tow package. My dad has moved on to the LSx powered machines ('99 F-body and 2010 Vette).

Recent work on my GF's BMW required moving some GM hardware around:

I've been driving my 20 year old LT1 for 18 years.I installed a drop in K&N air filter and always use Mobil1 EP oil and a Mobil1 oil filter. Its still running just like when it was new.

Yeah it pays off sometimes. We both have LT1-powered vehicles (I got mine first :) His first Roadmaster wagon was crushed by a maple tree during "super storm Sandy". I yanked the engine and trans from it before we junked it. Turns out I needed the trans for my limo. The engine is in my garage awaiting the next catastrophe. We do have fun with our toys. They may not be elegant or extravagant, but they're ours. I love making them our own.

We have this sibling rivalry thing going on, but neither of us will admit it. I had a Grand National that I raced, he got a T-Type the same year. It was *almost* as quick. The list goes on and on. So far I think I'm "winning" :)
