Thanks Lakota. Hopefully I didn't bite off more than I can chew, but it looks solid. I bought it from a family member that is managing the owner's affairs. She seemed to have reliable information on it. There's some rust, but South Carolina rust (different perspective than what we in the Northeast call "rust"). It's not a coastal car either - it lived inland. The 327 has 20k miles on it and overall it's been decently maintained mechanically.
I admit,, Im jelous, Awesome car to restore,, detroit steel,,, (drooling)
Yeah this thing is a legitimate 9-passenger with the rear-facing 3-seater in the back. It has 20k miles on its 2nd 327 motor and runs and drives fine. It needs enough body work that it will need to be repainted - we're leaning toward a dark metallic blue keeping the top white. The inside is "fawn" which should go nicely. It even has seat belts!
Reminds me of our 76 Ford LTD wagon, it had a 460 and, by today's standards, large enough to be a Class B RV LOL
My latest project - '64 Impala wagon.
