Well Pat I do not know, Since i am now going to do both fuel injection & 4 speed trans at the same time Any change in MPG will have to be attributed 50/50 to ea of them I have records of every drop of fuel i have used (includes time spent idleing wile working on veh etc.) and mileage records also so i will add them all up and get a No to compare to . The TBI  is basicly a 2 barrel operation for air and computor controlled fuel delivery depending on signals from speedometer, distributor(rpm), temp sensor, knock sensor, ambient air sensor ,exaust sensor & transmission gear selection current Quadrajet delivers everything the engine can do but they are known fuel wasters if you open the secondarys often wich is anytime accellerator is over 1/2 way down .Going by memory avg MPG now is 9.5 @59 MPH Frank

Hi Pat this is the engine from the 95 van it had 239,000 mi (the winnie has 103,000 mi on it) Amazingly good the main bearings looked like they just came out of the box T he crank measures no wear rods or mains (the rear main bearing was .001 OS ? from the factory ?) Will have to ck w plastigauge on assembly crank rear main measures .0005 undersize ?. pistons show very little skirt wear oil rings were stuck though The cam journals measure .002 on center 2 journals and bushings were worn down to the brass Timing chain was loose Block cleaned up OK Cam bearings are a bear without proper tools  $ 300.00 set only need 1 time trying to do without them  Frank
