hello there well i have redone a large amount of these .You will need to carefully remove the sheetmetal and then go into removing any wiring in the way and then be real carefull to remove and cut out the old frame wood which is probably one and a half inches by one and a half .I use pressure treated wood cut down to redue rotted areas . Also areas that are prone to dry rot or areas that can leak easily . Like around windows and corners . feel free to email me if i can help in any way ill try to walk you through the best way to reconstruct your cabover .

We are restoring a cabover 79 rockwood and the cabover part has rotted and we need to replace the frame. We could use some tips on how to do that if you experienced that with your cabover. Any advice would be very helpful.
