That's a sweet rig, I love the way Holiday Rambler used the aluminum frame. Mines a 1984 32' Imperial Travel Trailer. They also made a Imperial 5th wheel and Motor Home for that year with everything about the same. I have only seen 1 5th wheel, nothing else. I got mine for $2500 4 years ago. little beat up and have been restoring it since. First thing I did was pull out all of the old carpet and install 3 1/2 x 3/4 Cypress hard wood floors and 3/4 ply and New vinyl in the kitchen.  I pull it with a 1986 GMC Dually I'm also restoring. Have you heard about the Vintage Holiday Rambler Owners, It;s owners of HR that trade a lot of info and had their 1st Rally this year. Some go back to the 60's. If you care to check out the website  https://www.facebook.com/groups/70sholidayramblers/ There is also a Ramble On club. The Blazer brings back memories, My Brother in Law had one and we would take it to Colorado for Deer and Elk hunting. Glad you had a nice camping trip.

Of course you may ask!  Its a 1989 Holiday Rambler Imperial 35, Anniversary Edition, on a Chevy P30 chassis with a carbureted 454 big block.  Most of the chassis was modified by Holiday Rambler in conjunction with Oshkosh, so there is a lot of aluminum to shave weight in the frame.  This RV was made when it was still Holiday Rambler, before they were bought out by the insidious folks at Monaco with their low quality crap.  New in 1989, this RV went for 149K, and was considered one of the highest end RVs you could get unless you went to the bus conversions like the Prevosts and whatnot.  Its still insured by my insurance company at 14K, and I only paid 3K for it...lol!  Awesome rig, AWESOME cabinetry work, and except for the way they plumbed the gas line for the genny, near perfect engineering on everything else.  Towing a fullsize K5 1985 Blazer, and loaded to max capacity, I average 7mpg.  Not too shabby!  It was a lot of work though, and many changes over the years.  For a LOT more pictures, go to my photobucket and sift through the many pictures.  Go to photobucket, and type in ClydesdaleKevin.
