I have a 1978 Travelcraft 23'  class "C"with bunk beds. the chassis is a 1977 Chevy G-30 cut away. I found it on Craigslist last fall. It only had 19,900 miles on it when I bought it and was a one owners family that I purchased it from. It had been in a barn that was destroyed by a tornado and had some superficial damage to the roof and one finder had a small dent in it. the insurance co. totaled it and I bought it on a rebuilt title. It took all of 30 min. for it to pass The Ohio State Highway Patrols inspection process and should never have been a total to begin  with. I have since replaced all seven tires and one brake caliper. done some minor pluming upgrades and had one brake down ( a fuse link blew on the way home my second trip out) it cost me $150. to tow it and $80. parts and labor to fix it. I really love the old girl, call her the Palace because when you inter the coach there is a coat of arms plaque mounted on the wall. other than the things mentioned it's all original and every thing works. The very first thing I done when I got it home was to have a local RV dealer do a full inspection of all the systems to insure they was safe and good to go. I had to replace a fan switch in the furnace and replaced the thermostat that some one had installed thinking it was bad.. I am in Ohio and thus far I have camped at seven State Parks one local lake camp ground and have camped at Mid Ohio Race Course twice. Having only had it for 10 months you can tell I am happy with it. I hope you guys find the joy I have in ownership of a classic RV. I wouldn't trade mine for anything I've seen on the road so far, as these old coaches are far and above better built. You are welcome to check out my member page and see some of the pictures I have posted there. I have a tentative camp this week end at Delaware Dam State park or perhaps back up to Indian Lake if a family member is stable enough for me to be away. I was up there two weeks ago with my truck and a little popup camper and had a mechanical problem with my truck so I didn't get to do much of anything else. bought a new rod and reel and never took it out of the truck L.O.L.  any way I got a little long winded sorry for that but that's the risk you take around here.
