Oh goodness, I figured the best way for me to stay out of trouble with this one is to use materials that I had some experience with. For me, that means wood, I am 6'2'' tall so I wanted the ceiling height to be a little taller, about 1.5 inches was comfortable for me, making the interior headroom roughly 6'4''.

I ran 2x3 boards along the top of the walls so the boards hung over slightly on the outside but was flush with the interior walls. 2x4 boards were fixed to the interior walls and the 2x3s that I had previously mounted. Now they act like an L-bracket along the top of all of the walls.(the thickness of the boards gave me the headroom I wanted)

Then I broke out the band saw and cut a bow in lots of 2x4s so the center of each board was 3.5 inches but the ends were 2 inches (to keep water from standing on the roof). I think you can see this in the photo. I used these boards as the ribbing structure from side to side, spacing them about 15 inches or so from eachother, so I can pack in some standard home insulation. I wanted the rear of the roof to act as my 'party deck' so I doubled up on those boards for the back 8 feet of the roof.

I used standard half inch plywood on top, figured it was pretty rigid, but I could also bend it a bit to make it flush to the curve of the boards I cut earlier. I sealed the exterior with deck restore paint... not sure if it will hold up over the years, but it is working for now, I hung aluminum siding along the outside perimeter of the roof to guide the water down the outside of the Winnebago. if the paint does not hold up I will probably put a rubber roof on later.

I tried to keep budget in mind with this project, if you are not careful you could quickly spend lots of money on this as of now I think I have roughly $800 in materials for the roof (wood, paint, screws, caulk, aluminum siding)
