Heres how mine is set up with the Ford pulling it, If you look close,, it looks rather close,, but with a 3/4 ton, there isnt much buck and kick and the trailer is level.. I stated earlier I had it at 4 inch,,, I double checked my record book,, the height on the Ford is just a notch under 6 inches,, My Dodge is set at 4 1/4 inches,, (hitch adjustment isnt precise and is at 1 1/2 inch increments on adjustment.).I do have a question,, How much does your trailer weigh? and if you have a chance,, what does the stamped weight rating say on your rear bumper,(I know your not towing with the bumper),, but was curious whats stamped there... Nice set up,,,(Looks like my 85 ,,, 24 footer) but may I add some advice,,,,, dont be offended,,, but you might want to get helper springs or air bags to get the front of your truck down and the rear back up a little,,, and another safety tip,,, get the space between the over hang of the nose of the trailer closer to the bed rails.

If your 5th wheel hitch has the 4 bolts to adjust the height , you need to drop it down a notch.

I mention this because a pick up will built up a wind cyclone in the bed of the truck,, Imagine a clear big bubble. with having that space as high as you are between the over hang and bed rails,, the bubble will be increased in size, thus creating a LIFT from the bed to the over hang,,actually LIFTING the over hang upwards and shifting the over-all weight to the rear of the RV. Being single axle,, You dont have the benefit of a secondary axle to counter the effects. I try and keep the space between the over hang of the RV and the bed rails to around 4 inches... Unless you plan on some serious off road trails with a lot of dips and bumps that will teeter the truck and trailer,, then I will adjust as needed.,, before attempting to just go into the roads blind,, but on regular hwy driving the 4 inches is sufficient and keeps the air bubble to a minimum.and the control of the trailer and truck safer.   And being curious,,,,, Do you have an oil and trans cooler?   Thats a MUST HAVE when towing,,,,
