I just completed a trip from New Mexico to New Jersey in this 1977 Holiday Rambler. With my cat, Squeegee who seems to like her new home very much. Parking it at my 90-year old parents house to care for them for as long as it takes. Will be checking in for hints and tips as I am completely new to this and looking to keep her running smoothly and in the great shape she is in.

Your 77 looks a little better than my 87,but I still love it. Nice trip and way to step up for the parents. Now I need to get brave and take a long trip in my Alumalite.Couple more years till retirement then I will hit the road, after changing out the water pump and bottom hose of course.

Glenda, I second what Pat said, I have a 1978 Travelcraft in comparable condition and you should have have no problem keeping her in good shape as long as you can keep it sealed up and sweat the small stuff.by that I mean stay on top of maintenance issues and repairs as needed. I commend you on your your quest to be there for your parents. I'm currently guardian for my 90 year old uncle. unfortunately he has to be in memory care and can not be home with family. Good old RV's is the best and there's  always some one who can answer questions and give quality advice. congrats on your trip and good luck with your parents.
