Welcome to the site!
If you haven't seen it yet, there's a nice old Winnebago for sale here http://www.goodoldrvs.com/group/beautiful1979classa27winnebago . Plus, it's in Ohio! If I weren't so happy with mine, I'd definitely be talking to Steve about that one.
I also check Craig's List every morning, just to keep in touch with what's being offered. It seems that the older model motorhomes can be had just as cheap (or cheaper) than the fivers and trailers. With gasoline prices so unpredictable, it's actually cheaper overall to own a fiver or trailer (a pickup pulling a trailer gets maybe 12 mpg; the best you'll ever get out of a Class A gasoline motorhome is 6-7 mpg; that difference in fuel efficiency adds up fast -- I know!) ... so I suppose that's why motorhomes are being sold sometimes cheaper than a trailer of the same size and similar floorplan.
Lots of luck in your search. I have no doubt you'll find the motorhome you're needing very soon.
There are a lot of very skilled people on this site (I'm not one of them). For us unskilled ones, it's reassuring to have a site with so many helpful people, when we run into questions...
