This is a short tip,,, When replacing only a section of roofing,, Cut back the damaged area to the next cross beam roof support, (gives you the added strength and avoids a sag at repair seam,). Butt up the newer panel of roof to the old, and seal it with RV grade sealant, (NEVER USE SILICONE)

Using Dicors brand of roll seal, lay over the seam,,,After its been clean properly,(no dust, fingerprints grease etc,) The directions are on the packaging, Make sure it bonds to both surfaces,, let cure as directed,

With the liquid Dicor product, apply, over the repaired seam area, expanding the spread out approx 12 to 14 inches beyond the seam.

Its takes a lil elbow grease and time and patience, But its worth it in the final repair. Be sure to make sure you seal ALL THE WAY OVER TO THE SIDES. A lot of over looked leaks are from a top seam leaking between wall and roof.   Hope this lil bit of info sends you in the correct direction.... There are several of us in this group who have trial and errored and learned old school... Most are on in the evening in General chat.

DICOR products have a wide range of products to re-incoporate the repaired roof to the existing roof. Several members have had the same issue and have posted in the Help Forums,,
