I guess this decision is based upon the difficulty using LP vs. just electric for appliances. I have experienced that having LP fridge and furnace especially useful in some places where full electric is not available. I found that my fridge will "sip" LP gas to run along with my furnace for days in a campsite situation where electric is not to be had.
