Tell us a little About Yourself
most folks call me Bear. and I will be traveling, beginning in April, around the Country raising money to help Cancer patients who cannot afford treatments, medicine, or even food to eat. Rather than try to explain all of that I have a web site set up with all the info http://www.quest4rest.com/
I am driving around in 25 yr. old Jeep Comanche P/U with a 35 yr. "oldie but goodie" RV. The truck has been named "Smokey and the RV has been dubbed "Bears' Den", it was recently donated to me to be the support vehicle during this time and afterwards I wish to continue to travel as long as I can. I was a 4x4 Journalist until a stroke hampered that in 07', cost me a bit of mobility and some eyesight in one eye. At that time I delved more into my Charitable efforts and helping others.
I will be writing about the Quest for the 100k over 18 months, in several venues such as my blog, a local newspaper, Offroad Adventures magazine, and a appearance on a local TV show weekly in Central Pa. I hope to make friends here, learn more about my RV and the quirks it has, and perhaps meet some of you during my Adventures on the road.
