My husband and I have camped with the kids using a tent. Since they have all grown and moved out we decided to invest inn a camper. While looking we fell in love with the Scotty. Today, we bought our first camper, a Serro Scotty 13' Gaucho

Our Maiden Voyage with a Half- renovated Scotty

John has been diligently working on our Scotty since we bought it in July. Those of you who read my last post know that we took a trip before we began any renovations. John totally stripped the camper and used the original parts as patterns to rebuild. We wanted to take Scotty on a trip to PA when our granddaughter was born, but Scotty was not ready.…

Our First Trip with Scotty

We bought our first camper less than a month ago (2 weeks to be exact) and we are really excited. We had been looking for a “Scotty” for more than a year. Although our Scotty is more than 40 years old he is in pretty good shape. Not really good enough to take on a trip, but certainly weekend worthy. We chose a state park not too far from home, Cloudland Canyon. There were many more parks close by but we had visited all of them and this was a special trip.

Worn out,…

Hopefully we will find one in a year or two.  I don't mind helping to rebuild.  But like you I really am looking forward to decorating it.  I will keep you updated on our search.

I lived in Rockmart, GA as a child back in 1970-1974.  My older brother graduated from Rockmart High School in 1974!  Small world. :)

Hi Mary, We haven't found one yet but will continue to search for the "right"one.  We don't mind if it needs some updating.  So nice seeing your photos.  We have found some nearby campgrounds we want to try and to also set it up in our yard.  Hopefully next summer!

Thanks for the pics. There is a hole in the floor, triangle shape, right across from the door and I don't know why but I think that's where I will put the shower and put the table back toward the bed or where your stove is. May just use a card table to save room. Yours looks so clean but I'm going to go crazy with color on the inside.

We bought our first cper also. It's a 13 in yellowstone, looks alot like yours but ours has been guted and we have no ideal what was where in it. I want to stay retro with a touch of modern. I don't even care if I have a stove but I do want a shower/tolit closet. If u have any inside pics ID love to see your layout. Thanks, enjoy the road!
