Sanding a fiberglass awning

I'm beginning sanding on my front and rear fiberglass awnings and am wondering what grit sandpaper I should begin with.

Glad to be a part of forum

As we trudge along fixing up our 1977 Holiday Ramber TT.  Pulled all black plumbing lines and replaced with new white, new Toilet, Water Pump, Water Heater, Water Tank.  The more expensive things i.e. Furnace, Fridge, AC all working well.

New carpet in Living area, new Lino in kitchen, hallway, bath, bedroom.  Fixed roof leaks, but new one around fridge vent, replaced ceiling tile, painted it.  Kitchen cupboards all in good condition.  New mattress on bed.
