- My sister and I got the vintage camper bug a couple of years ago when we spotted an old Spartan executive at a concert a couple of years ago. Since then we have gotten a 1956 spartan manor, 1957 Spartan manor, a 1957 Detroiter and a late 1940s teardrop. All but the tear drop we camp in but all need things doing to them too. (resealing windows, finding a few missing windows, one Spartan needs a vintage door, one has a squishy floor etc. We spend many hours looking on the computer searching for original parts and trying to learn how to bring these beauties back to their original glory. We're just basically enjoying the heck out of our passion for vintage campers and travel trailers.
