Hi Jim, We hope that you are still planning on attending the Fowler Park Southern Indiana Rally in June. Here's our new website:
http://southern-indiana-vtr.blogspot.com/ We only have 9 sites left!
Yours, Roger & Erin Dulin of Brazil, Indiana (812) 448-3434 or (812) 299-4249
wow, you've got a '68 Nomad? I'd love to know what the original paint looks like. Ours looks good in pics but was a little half-assed by the former owner! Luckily he took good care of the rest of it.
Jim, We also had gone the 5th wheel route. Before we retired, we had a 30' Cardinal with two slideouts and kept it down on Sullivan Lake all season. It fit our needs while we were still working because we could stay down there & drive in to work in T.H. But after we retired, we no longer wanted to just stay at the lake all the time...and the 5th wheel was too large just to pick up & go. We love antiques, so the transition from the "new" to the "old" was easy for us. Now we go EVERYWHERE! We even took our 1963 Shasta Astrodome down old ROUTE 66 all the way to California a few years ago. It was a HOOT! Also, it is just so much more rewarding to do the work yourselves and make it your OWN! Yes, we will have to meet for lunch or something...but let's wait until AFTER Christmas! Erin & Roger
Hi again, Jim. We hope that you are considering bring that Nomad to Fowler Park next June for the rally. Do you live in Terre Haute? We are in Brazil near the high school. We need to meet for lunch sometime and talk vintage! Happy camping Roger & Erin Dulin
Hi Jim! Nice camper...you are doing a very thorough job! What make did you buy? I can't read the name on the front of the camper...whose camper was it? The Fowler rally is scheduled for June 7th-10th next summer. We were packed last year, if you remember. We will be opening our registration campaign in December, and we are anticipating another full campground. If you are intested in attending the rally with your newly acquired vintage camper, please let us know. Have fun making that camper "your own"!
