Hi,again, you need to make that home for you, forget the crap they put in there for walls or cieling, etc. and if it is dagaed just rip it out and put in tongue and groove cedar or some other nice wood,,it will be cheap for that small space and cedar will give it a woodsy smell instead of old damp smell..If paneling gets wet it will mold and stink, and also not good for you,so if I had water daamge or such I would tear the parts out and put in some funky new wood,,be creative this is your own house, put colorful wallpaper etc.,make it YOU and you will have fun ,,this should be an oasis from this hard world ,and put little shelves or pictures or whatever makes you happy,,,It will take basic carpenter skills ,but you are young and can learn,,,Hope that helps
Hi Kate, welcome to the sensible way of living,no lawns, etc. and you can be out where the air is clean and if you don't like youir neighbor you can move. I am 60 and retired long haul trucker for over 30 years,so know the road etc. I haven't got an exact plan, but what it looks like is a small truck with a small trailer and boondock free camp mainly in the western states,as that is mountain country and beautiful, hot springs etc. I camp in my little truck right now and have no trailer yet,,,,I might build a camper,,but would like to be married again ,so should get at least a small trailer so I don't scare all the girls away,,,I am on SS ,so need to watch my budget,I camp now at the army corp of engineers on the Columbia river at rufus Oregon,,with Washington state on one side and Oregon state on the other side ,It is free, and there are other spots around that are pretty, but these spots have no way to earn aliving, but one guy 73 years old makes $400 a month dumpster diving for cans and bottle 5 cent deposit,,,,,I did go down and check out Arizona a few months ago ,and there is free camping all over the desert, but no facilities,,where I camp now there is a bathroom ,water, and state parks close by for showers,,,,,It looks like you did fine with that rig,,,,You will need to change the transmission fluid, and make sure antifreeze is right and have new or very good fan belts and radiaror hoses,,,,,,old rubber will fail when it gets hot in the summer, and also take it easy going up big hills and that will help,,,,as far as any roof leaks, the only way I would deal with that is good old heavy black roof tar ,and smear it into any seamwith a flat stick and no more troubles, but this stuff is ugly,so you only want it on top where you won't see it,,,,,snow coat and all that modern stuff wont cut it on an old rig like that get the black sticky roof tar,,it's gummy and awful but will do the job.....other than that back to me,I am a lover of Jesus, and kind of an evangelist,so I like this lifestyle,as I talk to lots of different people,,,Bless your heart and feel free to call for prayer or questions,,,I also am looking for a tombot-hip[pie -christian to be my partner God Bless 360-953-2184 George
