ever wonder where, when, why or how we got the heart towards camping and enjoying God's creation?

my, 14 month older then i, brother 'stark' and i grew up, probbaly beginning at ages 5 and 6, just sitting for hours w/ our pencils, rulers, and crayons drawing these radical rigs, with matching colors, boats, trailers, jeeps, trucks, campers, you name it! we'd spend hours on end drawing, dreaming and staying out of our mom's way, creating our futures on paper. when i found this picture it made me wonder...just like listening to the beach boys all my… Continue

Steve- Pat Daly suggested I check in on you considering our whereabouts (I'm in Temecula-Menifee area) and my "surfer Camper" I am re doing with my hubby. We have two-one in high school and one in college too and I was toryuring him for a small vintage trailer and we found this in Vista (you can look at my photos) anyway-Pat thought you might help us track down a used surfboard too- we want to hang it on the side (since it was owned for 42 yrs by surfers) to drop down to be an outside bar-if not?! well- I'm enjoying your posts too! Thanks-Jana

Live your dream man

Man, it sounds like it almost time to follow your dream... if u aren't already and the kids are set. they surf too?

Ouch on the board in the face.

Ya, way kewl rack. i'm trying to modify my new used "test" travel trailer so I can carry 2 sit on kayaks for florida next month. Don't want to drill down thu the usual stupid rubber roof so I think I'll either find or fabricate something which screws into the aluminum sidewall supports, then run the racks... maybe standard old Thule stuff if theirs is wide enough across so I can pitch the kayakas on top. attached is pick of the 26 trailer. any ideas way welcome. thanks. pat

Don't think of it as being unemployed, think of it as being free for awhile! U can always pick up a few bucks to get by on working different jobs. besides, you'll meet new people that way.

A surfter dude afraid of sand.... guess that's when u get maytagged? Ha, ha.

Sure, people do flip the shackles on trailers and get away with it... mostly for 4 wheel dry camping. e-mail a few other members that u notice with travel trailers and ask em... or u can post a forum and ask em that way too.

I'll keep a lookout for you if i see one. Meanwhile, have some fun man.

Hey, Welcome steve! Like your idea about goin down the road in a vintage trailer with your jeep. Man, must be some great surfin spots down the baja from you that your jeep would love to sink it's tires into.

Also, where did you get that kewl roof rack on your jeep? Custom.

Check out Jim's Glamis video. He's just south of you a little ways and wayyy into the sand... buggies that is.

STay in touch. pat
