Well. as we all know,, way to well, It has been a realy wet rainy winter here in the south, At one time thought about building an Ark. On one occasion, we had high winds, and buckets of rain hit, and of course, 2 elusive leaks,, one in the bathroom vent and the bedroom vent. Well, it seemed like the rain had found a way into the trailer around the seal or the cover itself, One would think, That was not the case after taking the vents completley out and inspecting .From the ceiling up it was…Continue
Having recently joined this group, we're looking for other people in PA who go camping in vintage Good Old RVs. The Ohio get together looks like it would be fun in August. Any vintage camping groups in PA?

about how to navigate this site. I guess if I stumble around enough I;ll get it figured out.
Yesterday morning at 4h55 am, me and a co-driver left Montreal to travel 5h15 hours to get to see a first MH. To go there, my co-driver and me are going to go trough 2 Canadians provinces and one US state. The trip is about 330 miles and we have to do it both way in the same day. Daniel Long was very helpful in doing the initial assessment of the RV and although it might be far, the picture he sent seems to indicate the unit has potential. I made several research on the particular unit that…Continue

Can anyone help to try and find or where to buy
A manual for a 1990 Allegro motorhome.
Here is the PDF version of the Rules I found. I retyped it and dropped in the original logo below. CODE%20OF%20ETHICS.pdf
It's in PDF format for printing. Enjoy!
I know it's hard to grasp right now, with the cold rain and snow blowing, that's it's going get hot. With that, we will be using our roof A/C units. I know your thinking to yourself, well duh!!! Now,,, Are you seriously thinking about climbing up on your roof? Nooo. Admit it, that's not up there on your pre trip to do list. OK. Quit trying to ignore the fact that you have to get yourself up there. Btw, Don't forget hand tools. A simple 7/16ths 1/2 inch wrench and channel locks. If your…Continue
It's all over the internet, Walmart, Cabela's, Outdoor World and Cracker Barrell are going to prohibit, if not already, the overnight rest parking for RV's.
2 Walmarts in Waco area along with Cabela's have banned over night campers, Due to a few DIRT Bag retards, Yes I said retards, because these type people are Not right in the head. Store manager had to have Hazmat crew on standby while he had several employees power wash a section of the parking lot. All because a couple brain dead…Continue
hello all. I just purchased this motorhome. It’s in pretty amazing shape for its age. I am excited about this new project. I am going to start with a good cleaning of the inside and out. I am going to do run some sea foam through the engine and fuel system, followed by a full tune up and possible brake replacement on the front. I am interested in any information you all may have on this particular task that I have undertaken. I look forward to chatting with you all about…Continue

So a little back story. I am very very new to RVing!! I love vintage RVS or I should say anything Vintage. My obsession started a couple of years ago and when I saw some show on TV. (I have no idea the name of) We love to camp. We don't get to do it often maybe twice a year, but I think that's because sometimes we just want to go for the day or maybe just 2 and the thought of setting up everything and taking it all back down the next day just doesn't appeal to us. So an RV or TT would be…Continue
Still working on the old buggy. The inexpensive stabilizer works great. This is a 1985 Chevy G-30 van chassis and am trying to install the Air Lift 1000 in the front coils to level up the front end and ease the loading on the shocks. Their web site says to stuff the bellows in between the gap in the coils, not open enough, and the hole in the lower control arm seems too small also. Is it necessary to remove the lower control arm to install? Any experience with this out there? Thanks C
Does anyone have a good way to clean the grey streaking on a painted aluminum trailer?
Finally had a warm day, 38 degrees and basically no wind so I got the ceiling tore out and 2 of the panels cut.
Warning about RV Nation. They had the padded vinyl material. Started to order 3 yards of it and when i got into the checkout process, they were going to charge me $201 for shipping on $58 worth of product. Uhmm nope, ain't goona happen.
Found a place called All Vinyl Fabrics. They had a padded marine vinyl. Little more expensive, it cost me $75 but…Continue
We traveled down to Yuma, Arizona last week, and I wanted to share a couple of places for free camping. I am traveling with two other RVers that are planning on taking advantage of 'medical tourism'. Between us we are getting dental work, eyeglasses and medications filled. Los Algodones is very popular for those things with snowbirds. Many stay near the border crossing at the Que Casino which offers free boondocking, but is crowded and noisy. We opted to stay further out and try out some…Continue
Looking for a little advice/experience on improving the drivability of a class C 1985 Mallard. Drives perfect on a smooth road, no traffic & or wind. Trying to sift through the steering stabilizer, shock, Air Lift conundrum becomes baffling after a while. Obviously the suppliers are a great source of info, HUH!
Yours Truly C& D aboard " Adrift". Still on the prowl for September.
