This evening,, several of us here in our tiny RV park, (Russ Johnson knows how small it is) lol, was sitting around sucking down some adult sud beverages, Yes,, we are old enough,(just barely). And Jimmy, my one neighbor in the other 5th wheel here mentioned his daughters co-worker just dropped $4 K down for a New 5th wheel, with reasonable low payments of $387.00 a month for like 300 years,, give or take a year or two, Well they took it to the local lake to break it in,, The list of things…

After my 'full-timing' adventure of last year, poor Juno found herself neglected in the yard most of the summer. I think I suffered from a little RV PTSD. As the temperatures grew and the humidity descended on our little piece of mountain paradise here in Asheville, NC I was content to enjoy not worrying about my electric consumption, not having to pack up my home every time I needed to go to the grocery store, and poo that just goes away forever when you flush!
Finally,…

One of my jacks was leaking really bad, so I took it apart to replace the 'O' rings.
One part stripped. It's the pump cylinder, and it is made of light aluminum.
I have the jack at a local machine shop, they are going to make replacements for that part for all the jacks. The new parts will be stronger, they are making them from brass.
If you have a jack similar and need this part then let me know, I can have them run off more.
It…

Hi All,
I just bought a 72 Dodge Fireball Class C Motorhome - Sweet Gypsy Rose aka Rose aka Queenie. Are there any Fireball lovers/owners out there who would like to start a group - both Trailers and Motorhomes? I'd love to hear from fellow Fireball enthusiasts.
Thanks much,
Cheers!!

WePulled our Capri from Inverness Fl. to Pittsburgh Pa without any problems. It was a little slow going over the mountains in West Virginia and Virginia. We did manage to pass a few tractor trailers that were going slower than us.

My 1976 Sports Coach Class A mid-bath RV sat for 12 years. It's a Dodge chassis, 440 engine, 61,000 actual miles. Previous owner lost title years back. I work at a salvage yard. Young man in possession of RV, came to me, wanting me to purchase it for scrap as they had to get rid of it. Parked in an alley within city limits with no current tag it had to be moved. They tried to get it running. Put 4 new drive tires and 2 new steer tires, belts, hoses, alternator, fuel pump, cap and…

I recently bought a 1985 Real-Lite truck camper. While I was getting it home, the escape hatch lid blew off and I couldn't find it.
I am having a terrible time finding a replacement. I ordered from Hengs, but it wasn't quite right. Too big and the hinge was wrong. The opening is 17 x 24.
Any advice where I could find it? Is it easier to just replace the whole unit?
Thanks for any help,
Amy

In 2014 I committed my wife and myself to a “summer project”: restoring a 1964 Fireball Meteor travel trailer. How hard could it be, I asked myself. It was only 13’ long; the videos I watched fucused mainly on woodworking skills; anmd I found what looked to be a likely candidate on eBay. The seller, Todd Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah sold a book and CD about how to restolre one in a couple of weeks. He adsvertised it as well maintained, ready to go camping,…

I woke up this morning and figured I would go check the rear brakes on the ole Ford diesel,, Well, that went side ways real quick, thinking it would be a quick and easy job. I had good friend Russ Johnson come over and give me a hand, Spent the better part of the afternoon into the evening getting the brakes shoes changes and wheels back on,,, I guess that little*squeaking in the wheels, means brakes are due... Thanks agian for Russ taking time from his R&R vacation to lend me a much…

Well not many problems between Utah and Idaho. Bad winds and freeway construction made it exciting at times. Resting for a few days before on to Oregon and if we live the summit at Pendleton I'll be back with more. I hate Cabbage Hill, don't know if down is worse than up.
