I have four solar panels, do a lot of dry camping, and wanted to replace my four old flooded lead acid 6 volt Trojan T-105's (450 Amp Hours) with AGM technology so I don't have to be constantly checking and adding water etc. etc. I went with two Renogy AGM12-200 (200 Amp Hours at 10 hr rate, 208 Amp Hours at 20 hr rate = 416 total) which I picked up at Walmart (they even loaded them for me, 129 lbs each) free shipping for $247 each. On the Renogy website they are $399 each !!!!!!!!!!! It…Continue

This brings up a really Redundant…Continue

We need help! We just moved our 93 Innsbruck travel trailer to a piece of property. Mind you, this camper has not been moved or used in about 11 years. We are using battery power for lights, but are trying to figure out how to use propane to power the hot water heater. Any insights?? Not sure how to activate it....or even use the propane for the refrigerator or hot water heat. Any other Innsbruck owners out there with some insight??
Many Thanks, Kris in Michigan
Please bare with me, first time on a forum. I have an Alfa Gold that came with an 80 amp converter which is having problems. I no longer use the belly air or the two RV refrigerators that came with it. Is there any reason I cannot use 50 or 60 amp converter?
Thanks so much, David
Changing out a water pump on a 7.3 diesel looks intimidating to say the least,, Its just a massive beast of an engine shoved and stuffed under the hood. And with any diesel engine, everything is super extra heavy duty,, no whimpy parts there. So I tackle the job with a positive attitude.
With my poor eye sight, I apply common sense approach, a bolt, nut or screw has to hold everything in place, the trick is locating them. I first find the drain on the lower part of the radiator and get…Continue

This evening,, several of us here in our tiny RV park, (Russ Johnson knows how small it is) lol, was sitting around sucking down some adult sud beverages, Yes,, we are old enough,(just barely). And Jimmy, my one neighbor in the other 5th wheel here mentioned his daughters co-worker just dropped $4 K down for a New 5th wheel, with reasonable low payments of $387.00 a month for like 300 years,, give or take a year or two, Well they took it to the local lake to break it in,, The list of things…Continue
After my 'full-timing' adventure of last year, poor Juno found herself neglected in the yard most of the summer. I think I suffered from a little RV PTSD. As the temperatures grew and the humidity descended on our little piece of mountain paradise here in Asheville, NC I was content to enjoy not worrying about my electric consumption, not having to pack up my home every time I needed to go to the grocery store, and poo that just goes away forever when you flush!
One of my jacks was leaking really bad, so I took it apart to replace the 'O' rings.
One part stripped. It's the pump cylinder, and it is made of light aluminum.
I have the jack at a local machine shop, they are going to make replacements for that part for all the jacks. The new parts will be stronger, they are making them from brass.
If you have a jack similar and need this part then let me know, I can have them run off more.
