The ongoing adventures with "The Queen" - 72 Dodge Travel Queen

Wow, the warm weather is gone with a winter blizzard bearing down on us, it's time once again to share some stories and how to's. I've decided to write several shorter blogs then one long annual one.

We finally got "The Queen" in better running condition and with all the added bells and whistles we had some amazing "glamping" adventures this season here in…

My new (old) RV

I'm new to RVing although I have been planning/wishing to do this for years now. On impulse I took the plunge and bought this wonderful 'lady' a 1977 Vanguard Sportsman. She's in wonderful condition considering her age, although she does have a problem common to her age and make....the truck motor will not charge the battery. I have 2 friends, both mechanics, who are checking this out, as well as everything else, to make sure she is road worthy for me. It seems the alternator is fine, so now…

Newbie 1st Post: 1988 Dolphin

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the Site and wanted to introduce myself and our vintage rv.  We purchased (new to us) a 1988 27ft. motorhome and we are currently painting and fixing it up.  I look forward to sharing our photos as we work thru our remodeling, as well as enjoying looking at your photos and learning from you.

I've included a few photos of how the rv looked when we first brought her home.  Here she is:…

RV Wholesale Campers On the Block

While doing a little snow birding in Florida, I ran across a couple guys out on the lake where I was fishing that was camping in the same park as me. After some small talk over the bass, they told me if I needed to upgrade my camper to check them out. They own a company called RV Wholesale Campers and he kind of gave me a gist of the prices on everything. I'm not in the market to buy anything new now, but it was definitely below…

Jimco Rally Part 2

This is part 2, I didn't have access to the internet so I wrote this on my laptop after the bonfire gathering

____________________________

Hey Gang,

Everyone woke fairly early at Jimco's. I finally got up at about 9am. Made coffee first then opened the doors. OH there's my keys. I left them in the door lock again. Gee someone could of got in and taken me for a real ride.

I missed the morning breakfast with the gang so I ate cereal. Then everyone started coming up to… Continue

Purchasing a Light Weight Towable Travel Trailer The Story of Cruiser RV Funfinder

We'll the stock market has tanked, the world is in meltdown soooo we bought another rv! Here's the story, ok Blog, of how Miss FunFinder came into our life. Linda and I took our good old class c in for some minor fall rv service to the great folks at Camperland here in Tulsa where we hang our hats part of the year. While we're there we check out all the neat light weight travel trailers. Then that… Continue

Lake Texoma Oklahoma Caney Creek Campground Fishing Camp

We just got back from a great 5 day trip to Lake Texoma's Caney Creek Campground on the border of Texas and Oklahoma. Nothing but great things to say about the campground and the clear refreshing waters of the lake. The weather, however, was SOMETHING ELSE! Blew like snot for 5 days straight with winds 20 plus mph. Not great for fishing. Fortunately, the 54 space campground is nestled right on the lake in a cove with good wind protection, boat ramp and even a dock for fishng and boarding your… Continue
