Woo Hoo! I made it through my first full winter in my RV! It was debatable a few times but I persevered. I learned so much and most of it was from this website. This is definitely my go to spot for info.
Still at the Caldwell RV Park here in Idaho and just got moved into a primo spot a few weeks ago. The Boise River is my front yard and a lake is my back yard. When I have the window shades up on the left side, all I can see is the lake and the RV's at the other end of the…

The past few months have been some of the hardest for Good Ole George and I - both emotionally and financially. Was planning on heading for warmer climates as I can't stand the cold. Then my brother-in-law fell off a trailer and broke his neck so headed to Washington State to help out as the hospital they air-flighted him to was an hour and a half from their home. Have been biting at the bit to get online but at the Caldwell ID RV Park if you aren't within spitting distance of the office, you won't pick it up!
It's been over a month since I blogged Part 2. I think the last month has been the worst so far. My camera got stolen so there went all the pics I had taken. Well, as promised in my first blog, George is getting a lot of attention. Am set up at Caldwell RV Park, Caldwell ID. I usually dry camp so am getting really spoiled being plugged in. Everything works...air conditioner, cable TV etc! Suppose to get Internet but if you aren't within spitting distance of the office, you can forget it.
Am really tossing around the idea of becoming a Fulltimer and realized that you need a whole lot more storage space than there is. Up in the bed area,…

I bought my "Golden Oldie" George just a little over a year ago and caught a bad case of wanderlust. Did a lot of nothing but drove it like I stole it until the tires fell off. Now a person would think that after being a mechanic in the Army for 13 years and a long haul trucker, school bus driver and city transit driver that I would know (and practice) the importance of good maintenance. NOT!!!
My trip from CA to ID turned into a living nightmare in less than 10 miles. Tires started…
