Well it is time to change out the old tired batteries in my GMC Class C  -Got a couple of new batteries and after working on my van I decided to do some work on the camper. Prying the old battery out was a chore! They sure don't leave you a lot of room to remove the battery. The problem is that the battery tray is up so high that with the height of the battery you barely have room to lift the battery out from under the front fender. Plus the tray was rotted and rusted. Solution was to remove…

Got back a day early from the shake down cruise to the lower end of the state. Gotta say I am more convinced about the Chrysler products since my old van 129,000 miles gave me almost 19 MPG in the mountains! She ran flawlessly the whole way we put a little over 600 miles on her this weekend.

Reason for the trip was that my GF who is a photographer as well was scheduled to do a photoshoot of a Belly Dancing event on Friday and Saturday. Had a great time!

Just finished up adding the hand made wooden accents for the dash and the doors. Rustic beaten and weathered looking wood veneer to round out the nautical look.

When I get back fro my trip I will begin to finalize the far rear section with carpeted door panels hidden storage for lug wenches-jacks etc and close off the rear spare tire storage area from view.…

Well the CD/AM/FM I ordered came in damaged so down to Walmart I go .Did not see one like the one I ordered on the shelf but a nice lady was willing to go in the warehouse and found one for me! IT was real ugly putting that player in the dash! I don't care how easy they say the instillation is ,,it is never straight forward! But got it in and it works..the radio anyway have not tried the CD player yet.

Got Dash cover I ordered too and it fits great!

The dash of my Dodge van is in pieces! I tore it apart and repainted the whole thing. Today will attack mounting a new CD/AM?FM radio into the dash. Going to try to carpet the engine cover box . Cut and mounted the new speakers in the fronts of the bed partitions.now have to run the wiring.

Also got the 1inch by 6 inch wooden plank mounted down the center of the ceiling too just waiting for the new dome lights to arrive.  A lot of little details but it is starting to take…
