Hello New to GORV! Looking for anyone with any info on Juno Real-Lite

Hi all,

So glad to have found this website!  My husband and I just bought a 1984 Juno Industries Real-Lite truck camper in pretty decent shape.  Found the info on here and bought a brochure off Ebay today.  Really trying to figure out the construction method.  Anyone know something about these old campers?  Thanks and am looking forward to sharing some pics when we pick her up this week.

Thanks C D.  We'll have a look.  The old ones are 6" x 10 1/2" and so far I haven't found anything that big in a surface mount.  Was hoping to cover up the old holes, but if I can't, I can't.

Suggest you do a image search for RV Tail Light to view many styles. Grote appears to make a similar 3 body  light that resembles your originals. May be available in LED. Also search e-bay for nos.

Answered my own question with a bit of experimentation.  Unused trailer brake wire is used for the backup lights.  Everything else is standard.  Good thing I didn't just buy a regular adapter.  My backup lights would have come on every time I stepped on the brakes!  Was also able to determine that my taillight assemblies are shot.  Monarch 5125.  Anyone know of a good replacement?

Hi all.  Diana's husband Ralph here.  Currently master "grip" on this project.  Trying to make up a pigtail for this unit.  Truck is 7-blade standard round connector.  Camper is 6-pin round.  Seller provided us with a plug for each end, a length of multi-strand wire with all the wrong color coding, and a mumble which indicated to me that he had tried and given up.  This should be within my abilities, however I am hung up on one thing.  Backup lights.  The tail light assemblies include a clear lens portion which I assume is for backup lights.  A standard 6-pin connector has 12v+, ground, tail/running, left turn, right turn, and electric brake.  Nothing specifically for backup lights.  Before I start blowing fuses, does anyone know the pin-out for this camper connector? I apologize if this info is posted elsewhere as I searched but could not find it.  Thanks.

Oops, not 1700#... rather 1852# fully loaded with water and propane.  But still, for a camper of this size with all the amenities?

Most of us old timers have come across the inerds of the typical RV units,, You would think they tghe manufacturers would use 2x2,, but nooooo, they use 1 3/4 which means you have to rip off a good 1/4 inch off a 2x2 stud to work with it in the walls.. No some rvs actually use a 2x2 ceiling support,, I have even seen 2x4  (1 3/4 by 3 3/4). And most are 12 to 16 on center,, and just a heads up, NOTHING, is Square in an RV.

So amazed that this is just over 1700 lbs. with 28 gals H20 and 2 propane tanks full.
