hello all...I have a '71 Cortez that has some holes in the roof that need attention. I removed both the walkway and the luggage compartment, as they were brittle and wrecked and I knew there would be rust underneath them. These elements were attached with well nuts (a cross between a rubber cork stopper and an expansion bolt, kinda) that were inserted into half-inch or so holes in the roof metal. I now have over a dozen such holes that need to be filled in some way. Are we talking welding here? Once I get all the holes filled and the rust abated and prepped for painting, I will need to decide what route that process will take. I have been reading a bit on the old internets about people using truck bed liner and similar types of coating to seal off the roof of their RVs. Anyone out there given that a try or have an opinion?

Cheers!
