The old doll is giving me fits.  She is beautiful on the inside but some problems with fuel tank and fuel lines are driving me crazy.  Any advice would be appreciated.  I am afraid the this will become a real can of worms if I don't get the sequence of repair in order.

There should be a mechanical fuel pump on your unit being as old as it is .Do you know what make the engine is?Or what size? I don't know too much about your unit I think Dodge Ford and Chev made holiday ramblersC class anyway. Some people say my filters are overkill but I never have a problem with any of my Carbs.Rather change a plugged filter than get a carb serviced any day. When I clean my fuel tanks I just use some gas and swish it around and do it again .good enough for me it's always worked. It could get expensive for a shop to do it though.

We will drop and clean tanks, replace fuel lines with three inline filters.   Question, where is the fuel pump relay located?  It has never been addressed in any of my service receipts.

Thanks,

I don't know who you have working on this unit but I would have started with the fuel filters not the carb.yes you should be able to put new fuel line in there. If they have the tank down yes I would clean it,there are alot of years of all kinds of gas and dirt in there.will help with future plugged fuel filters.I have three inline one by the tank one just before the fuel pump and one before the carb,I have no fuel problems on my 1973 dodge ,Though I do have to drop the tank ,so it will get a cleaning while its down and out ,only because my gas guage isn't working .:(  .I hope you have more luck with your unit if it's in good shape SAVE IT! well worth it ,just look at the prices of the newer units,AND the newer units aren't as COOL :)

My habit is to do the simple thing first.  Unit was not getting good fuel flow so they removed the Rochester carb and took it for rebuilding.  It was gone for one year!  Then they decided it was the two tank fuel line and removed it. Brittle of course and now useless.  Now we get to the fuel tanks.   Should I have the tanks cleaned?   Can a new fuel line be fabricated?  Unit is a 1975 Holiday Rambler with less than 60,000 miles.  The interior is very nice and I would like to use it again but am thinking that this type of service is very expensive.  I am having difficulty making a decision,  Any guidance or advice would be appreciated.
