Hi, 16.5 is the rim diameter, unfortunately, 16.5's were phased out in the late '90's. There are still tires available out there, but they are difficult to find and very pricey. Your best bet is to check around at local junk yards and upgrade to 16" rims, it shouldn't be too difficult to match the bolt pattern. 16" tires are very common and relatively inexpensive, I'd be willing to bet you can buy a set of tires and rims for about the same cost as 16.5" tires alone. And a word of caution, 16" tires won't work on 16.5" rims, they will mount up, but they won't "seat" properly. making them dagerous to you and the installer.
You need to get the tire size and convert it to a metric tire size. For instance our motor home came with 7.50R16. I can use a 215/85R16 which is about a 1/2" shorter, or if there is enough room between the duals I could use a 235/85R16 which is about a 1/2" taller, but almost an inch wider. Give me your tire size and I will look it up for you.
