Hi!  We just bought our first motorhome.  We had a couple of slide-ins (still have the big S & S, plus truck, that we're hoping to replace) and a parade of used 5th wheels, before buying new in '04.  (We live fulltime in it--the MH is our escape vehicle!)  We've had to fix more stuff on the 'new' one than we ever did on any of the used ones!  Go figure!

Since our other bit of insanity was to buy (few years ago) a really old, stick-and-brick shack out West that needed a LOT of TLC...and that has been slow going!  Shoulda just stuck with Plan A and leveled the house and put in an RV hookup!

Back to the motorhome.  I want to gut the living area--hubby only wants to tune up the 460, add new tires, fix the small leak on the camper nose, and GO.  :(    Could be something to do with the remodeling he's doing on the shack?  Just by adding an rv fridge, she'd be useable, but pretty sad looking--especially on the outside.... She really needs a face lift!  We'll see where we go from here!

I'm glad I've found GoodOldRvs...I think there's a lot of help and inspiration here.  It's good to meet all of you!  Keep on camping!

Since I posted the above, Keith peeled the skin off the drivers side and discovered a lot of rot!  This is not going to a 'quick fix'!  :( So it's parked in the barn, for now--and he's moved on to getting his Holiday Rambler Class C ready to live in while he works.
