i recently purchased a 1973 dodge escapade which i intend to strip down and rebuild from scratch! i hav yet to start as i am currently researching materials and different layouts in order to maximize space and minimise costs, my goal is to be able to live out of my rv off grid and as eco friendly as possible so i have located plans for various alternative energy projects wind and solar electricity + solar heating ) as well as locating a convertion kit to change the fuel hog carburated 440 over to multi port fuel injected . I eagerly accept advice from anyone who has done any such conversions

Hi,
We live on a boat and have both wind and solar. I see very little sun, lots of wind on the oregon coast and we still get better amp hours out of our solar then with our Air-X wind gen, which works well. Wind gens need really clean/steady wind to work and don't start making power until the wind is at 6 or 12 mph. They also make plenty of noise. Ours is 12 mph and makes 400 watts max, the ones that start at 6 are just 200 watts. Our two cents, put your $s into solar. Hope this helps. Joy and Tony
