Hi all, after a nice stay camping and jeeping around Death Valley area in the desert . 2 days left on trip i tripped and fell breaking my hand , not sure i did at that time, but while i was down on the ground a scorpion stung me on the leg, also i did not see him, but that night my hand is swelling up and so is my leg .2 days later at urgent care on the way home the doc but a cast on and looked at the leg , scorpion sting . o it also was my right leg and for some reason my cruise control stoped working. very sore before i made it back home to Oregon , and a cast on left hand.but then my 1985 chief started running poorly and shaking all over the place. pulling over , unloading the jeep back to bishop for new fuel filters. not the problem .next stop was mammoth lakes we installed new dis. cap rotor, carb filter, still not good. my friends, there was 3 rigs in our group and remember i had a cast on , had to do all the wrenching for me . they noticed a loose spark plug wire, but looking further it was a loose spark plug in #5,7 the plugs were real loose and shot ,not working at all. as we were driving my wife was reading this site and did read something about #5,7 as getting hot. So now i am eating crow, she loves it . So 454s have lots of power but when#5,7 don,t work and they are on the same side, the motor shakes like a mixer. All ended well i made it home with no more problems ..
