I just purchased a vintage 1966 shasta. I drove all the way to Prescott, AZ to pick the trailer up. Once I got there I found the exterior of the trailer to be a little more damaged than I expected. I went ahead and purchased the trailer because the interior was so great. I need help on finding someone to restore the exterior aluminum siding or finding the siding to replace myself....

Any suggestions would be great!

Hemet Valley Aluminum in Hemet Valley, California.    Check out the videos by Mobiltec (Canned Ham) shot in the factory.   Excellent.  They quoted me a price for all skins with brake choice; new door; all J- and awning rails for my 1964 Fireball Meteor (terrible hail storm that took out the camper skin, house roof, and 28x36’ deck) of $2,000.00 which included shipping to Missouri.   Can’t believe that!  According to USAA insurance, the “industry standard” for a total skin replacement is $14,000.00.   Difference is labor.  Good luck.

I'm reviving an old thread I know, but others may stumble on this thread..... I wanna make sure that folks know not to get materials from all-right.com.  Their prices are insanely high. !!    An example is  a generic exterior hatch cover. I bought one for $25... all-right sells the same thing for $198.   (Im not kidding)

Did you find a siding source? I just noticed you posted this several months ago. Check out www.themetalcompany.com It is in Arvada Colorado 80002 5509 Harlan Street.
Phone 303-423-4425 or 1-800-231-0401 I have not dealt with them, but located their website recently. Good luck!

You're lucky to find an old Shasta with a good interior. Sorry to hear the exterior is in bad shape. Sounds like a great find though. I recently rebuilt a 1961 Mobile Scout with hail damage. The pits were so bad you could see daylight through the aluminum. If you want to replace it yourself, look for a mobile home siding supplier. Fortunately for me, there's one close by that supplies aluminum siding to rv's and mobile homes. They have about 40 different designs so they can match most siding. Mac's Aluminum, in Broken Arrow, Okla. They may be able to tell you of a supplier in your area.

Good luck,
