Well we had quite a rain storm yesterday and now I discovered I have a leak in the rear of the RV...uhg, I guess I'll be up there patching things for a while now. I knew there was a reason I got this lady so cheap...lol.

Thanks Pat, there are several pages of great info there. Now the learning begins. I had envisioned myself happily driving along and touring, not repairing...lol. When this crappy weather finishes here I'll go up and see if this is just a patch job or if I need to re-coat the entire roof. I do know that at some point I will have to redo the back wall where the leak has seeped in and run through the wall. On closer inspection the wall is weak and warped from water damage (dry rot), so I gather this is an old leak that was never really fixed. That however is a bigger job than I have the funds for right now, so I'm praying the wall doesn't suddenly dissolve on me as I'm driving along. Mechanical I'm not, but I am quite handy with a saw and hammer so I may just take a look at what this may take. Who knows, I have the summer to putter away on her, as long as the costs are relatively low.

Francie, see some of the links in our HOW TO posts right of this home page. Also, members restoration albums. Some good approaches to roof repairs and products like Eternabond.
