I finally got the floors under the driver and copilot seats removed and repaired. The Glastron has a sandwich type floor all the way through out. It starts as a 1/4" Marine plywood, then there is a 3/4" styrofoam layer then another 3/8" regular plywood. My floors were rotten on the inside layer. The marine material was like new! So I made a short blade for my old Black and Decker saber saw and cut out all the top layer plywood and removed the old Styrofoam insulation. then I put new down a fresh layer of 1/4 ply and glued and screwed it down, then the new 3/4 styrofoam and finally a 1/4 ply on top which was glued to the styrofoam. I stained to seal all all the new wood and then fibreglassed the top layer to the original inside fibreglass and all seams were glassed with two layers. It is very strong! and no more leaks or drafts. I make this sound like I did it in one day but actually it is a slow process waiting for the stain to dry then coating it all with a coat of spar varnish then glassing each layer in is a long process but well worth the end result. I also finally got around to removing the radiator which has a leak on the top tank by the fill opening. I have dreaded this job as there is no room to work or get your hands into the mess! Well it was as bad as I thought it would be and took me about 5 hours of work to get it out. It has to come out the inside and if anyone has to do it let me know and I can tell you what is in store for you. Now I am going take it to a friend of mine who does refrigeration work and he will fix the leak and the paint it and clean it out and back in it goes! thats it for today! Jim
