neutral safety switch location on 1969 Winnebago

I have a 1969 Winnebago D-18 with a 318 ci engine with an A727 trannie. Can someone please tell me where the neutral safety switch is located? The engine does not crank over when i turn the ignition key. It is silent. I do not even here a click coming from the solenoid with fully charged batteries. My starter cranks over the engine when i touched the posts with an insulated screw driver so i know it is not the starter. I replaced the ignition switch and starter relay and still nothing. I am thinking it is either the solenoid or the neutral safety switch that is preventing it from starting when i turn the ignition key to start. Can someone please tell me where the neutral safety switch is as i want to find out if this is the issue before replacing the solenoid. It would be much appreciated.

Thanks to all that provided me information about the neutral safety switch for my 69 Winnie. By locating it i was able to replace and get it started. So thank you. I am a happy camper once again!

It was the neutral safety switch. My Winnie now starts. Thanks to all who helped me problem solve.

I should add that when in neutral or park the single wire completes the ground circut for the starter.

I checked our factory manual and it says that the neutral safety switch is the center terminal  of the three terminal switch the other two terminals are the back up lights and is located on the bottom of the trans oil pan.  It looks like a back-up light switch but is really two switches in one.  I can copy and send the page if you need it.  I got my manual from faxon auto literature.  If we can help let us know, Tony, Joy and Cool Paw Luke

Hi Michael, welcome to GORV's.The neutral safety switch is combined with the reverse light switch and is located on the drivers side of the transmission. Its right next to the shifter rod.You will see the wires that plug into it there.Good luck.
