Out with the "Old" in with the "New"---Motor

The first thing an old tired bus needs is a new motor, not only for reliability but let’s face it I need more power Scotty!!! I don’t speak the VW language yet, I know enough V8 language to be dangerous, and barely know how to turn one on...Wait this is sounding familiar. Let’s just say I now have a whole new respect for people when they come into my computer repair office and tell me “I need more storage ram to speed up my hard drive, and my cpu is full , what do I need to fix it?” Then they let me know that this is their first computer where should they start? Well, I now completely understand the feeling of going into somewhere new, not being able to fully speak the “language” and telling the VW car repairman… I don’t know what I need; I just bought it, but make it faster I need an upgrade! Result: I now know this , I have learned that my old VW motor was a 1600 single port engine that is air cooled, sits upright, and had about as much power as my lawn mower, or basically in my “language” it’s a 286 MHz! Now the new “upgraded" motor is a 1776cc, dual port, dual carbs, performance cammed, headered, motor with much more power or in my “language” at least measured in the gigahertz range!
