I don't know much about blogging but I would love to get some information. I recently acquired a 1983 Champion Transtar. The rig run really well so we have decided to do some restoration work. The most pressing issues are the 1. The generator needs work. I have been told it needs a new carb. I have also been told that this work has to be done by a qualified tech because of the electrical load panel. Any information regarding the generator repair would be great. 2. The holding tank needs to be replaced, which I will probably do myself.

Any of you folks who have in information and or advice I would sure love to hear from you.

Thanks Mike

I will post some pictures soon.

Michael, nice camper and a bit of a find.  use the SEARCH box very top right and type in generator repair     holding tank replacement  and even find other Transtar owners.   There was quite a good discussion in our forums just a few weeks ago on how to repair rv generators. Also, you know that most won't run if the gas tank is less than 1/4 tank.  Let us know how it works out.  Members chime in as you like...
