I recently bought a 1951 new moon camper.  It is in need of some major work, but the first thing that I am looking for are some wheels to fit it.  It presently has 2 split rim wheels and is missing the other two wheels. As far as I can tell it is a 15x6 5 lug wheel.  The lugs are the 5 1/2 diameter and the center is 4".  One of the problems is that there are little nubs between the studs that the wheel must clear and one centering stud.  I am in need of any help to find what kind of wheels would fit.  The kind of vehicle and year to start looking at would even help.  I am posting some pictures of the hub to give anyone some ideas. Thanks for any help.

Ok cut the pin off no need for it.   5 on 5.5 bolt pattern is large dodge ford pattern. Good luck

It looks to me like it is a 17" wheel and 1 ton chassis bolt patern, (possible Dodge) The dowel is for alignment and the wheels have areas cast into them to clear the nubs. Also looks like a 17" Travco wheel might fit.  I would probably look at changing the axle to a heavy duty 8 lug 10,000lb axle, or even a 6 lug 7500lb axle. depending on the weight of your trailer. It might be a simpler fix and you can have electric brakes then.

It is not a dually axle.  There is not enough room in the wheel well for two tires.  I thought that is just what they did back in the 50's, but I am just guessing.

Was it a dually axle? Because that pin sticking out is for lining up the dually rims.
