Visiting Aluminum Craftsmen - Sierra Trailer Restoration

After seeing their web site I just had to 'go up the hill' to Nevada City, California and visit the vintage aluminum trailer restoration folks at Sierra Trailer Restoration. And, what a wonderful place it is nestled in 7 acres of pines. Pete was out so Joseph was kind enough to give me a tour of perhaps the best lookin restoration "garage" that you may ever see. When i first saw it i thought that it was their 2 story rock and whole log house... but it has 2 two story bay doors that, upon close examination, give it away. Personally, I'd be happy as a clam just tucked away in the back corner watchin all those good old Boles, Canned hams and vintage Airstreams come back to life. I was also honored to actually see Joseph's hand built Aero Madera.... 5,000 hours of work, some of the finest wood i have ever seen and some bronze castins really make it totally unique. See the Aero Mader here (turn up your sound) :
Aero Madera If you've got a wallete and a vintage aluminum trailer these are the folks to bring her back to life. You'll be glad you did! See their web site at:
Sierra Trailer Restoration Joseph, thanks so much again for the tour. Pete, see you in Fall when I'm back rvin in the Sierras. pat
