<p>Thin type contact paper like ya buy at walmart etc, isnt the best to work with over any damage, it will show every lil wrinkle ,crease etc because of the thinness. and heat will make it ripple and peel away. A heavier grade of wall paper works best,, as Norma Jean mentioned. Its easily applied and works great and the plus is,,, It's paintable if you dont like the pattern or color ya picked out.</p>

<p>textured wall paper the one I bought looks like bead board it is white it is thick to cover inperfections and is paintable to any color you want with water base paint there are other patterns to choose from Lowe's and home depot carry them in the wall paper section.</p>
<p>they can be applied with wall paper glue, if you need something stronger because it does't skick try watered down water base glue (i.e. elmers glue)</p>
