Tina, I meant that your dad must have hated to see his first cute project go. But he knew he would do others I guess. But the first was special I'm sure.

Paul raided the plastic ware drawer for all of the screws, hinges, bolts, button backs, and assorted other things that he dismantled. I don't know how he remembers what goes to what, but he does. Had to buy new longer metric screws for the drawer pulls I bought. 20 at 40 cents s piece! Not made of gold either. We pretty much have the painting wrapped up. Had to tape s paint stirrer onto a brush to get the wall above the cabinet where the fifth wheel slants down. Ugh! We figured out that the…

We figured out that the green cast on the wall paint was coming from the tree outside the window. For now the inside of the cabinets will have to be the original small pink flowered wallpaper. Lol!
I'm finding it's the chuckles here that keep me going after a discouraging weekend. Especially Lakota's posts. He's got a way with words that always just sends my frustrations sliding away.

Jars are a good idea - I am keeping ziplocs to do similar but already am forgetting to do that and also taking pictures BEFORE I take things apart. Which has made me smack myself several times now. Jars will be harder to lose than my dang ziplocs.

Thanks for the advice and the giggles this morning! :)

I am going to locate the Mobiltec on youtube, it sounds right up my area of interest. Understanding how these things are put together is foremost on my head right now, so I can expect what I have to do.

I'm heading out in a bit to take all of the cabinet doors off, and any other doors that are in the way....closet...bathroom...they need a good airing out and major scrub down. I have an array of jars to keep screws/hardware in for each section of cabinets, and will label them with black marker to keep things together. I'll have about 3 hours to be able to do some things on this before heading to work. (2nd shifter)

Russ, re:removing cabinets. We wanted to do that for painting but we discovered that taking out all of those screws inside did nothing. They truly are screwed in from the outside as well before they put the skin on. Foiled!!
I've seen factory videos on YouTube that show the weird ways they construct these things. Your T made out of 2x4s is s great handy tool to provide support overhead. Have any of you watched Mobiltec on YouTube. He restores old trailers and videos his techniques. Fun to watch…

Hi Tina, if you have a tool rental, check out dry wall jacks. also I have made t-post before out of 2x4's that helps a lot to rest one end on the T and that frees you up to tear out the other end. hope this helps, good luck on your MH it looks like it is well worth your investment of time and money.
