Douglas, Thank you for sharing that story. Nice to know when someone out there has the exact same respect for these as we do. The work on the them is never over (there is always something you want to do just to make it perfect)but you sure can make them look and feel and survive again real good and I know that you know what I mean. Rescuing them so that they are once again able to be enjoyed makes all the difference! you said it all in 10 words: "and most inportant'ly saved it from being…

I would love to see some photos of your shasta in whatever shape it was in when you snapped them...if you did! We didn't do a perfect job on Old Glory but we sure did put our heart and soul into her and hope that the new owners build a lot of good memories with her! Had the weather been nicer here in upstate NY I wouldn't have the only regret be that we never got to take her out. All I can say is keep on finding them and keep on on making them roadworthy again. Nice to know we have the same frame of mind! ..Janet
Wow. Wow. Thanks for all the nice words. Makes us feel really good about it. It took two of us about 6 weeks working on it what seemed like constantly but not really. Every move we made we researched, second guessed, discussed, mulled over and then went to it. We really did put our heart and souls into it which wasn't hard because we truly loved the work and every time we made progress in even the littlest way it was so rewarding. We wanted to do it right and we wanted it to be quality. And it can be tough and tricky at times that's for sure. So, it does mean alot to share our work and hear your comments. We have hopefully sold the Shasta although we still had a few things we wanted to do but the new owners like it as is. It is supposed to go to it's new home...a family with two little ones...this weekend and we hope they absolutely fall in love with it. I know I did! Our next project is going to be a 1954 yellowstone. Lots of aluminum to polish on the outside....Yes, we are crazy and obsessed at this point. There isn't as much help or info online about those so we hope we can do it right! Again, glad you enjoyed seeing our work! excellent job! brings back me…tag:goodoldrvs.ning.com,2010-11-09:2093474:Comment:417812010-11-09T04:46:24.389ZMyrtlehttps://goodoldrvs.ning.com/profile/Myrtle
