1971 Lark~ Anyone heard of one?????

Hi there I am a new member to the group, and i have looked through some amazing photo's. I just purchased a 1971 Lark, and would like to know what others may look like. The original owner did some stuff to it, I would like to restore it, but would like to know more about the little critter! Any ideas would be so much appreciated.

Hi Jen~

No we weren't able to get an awning as of yet--this summer we blew another transmission!  This time on the Suburban.  We kind of knew it may be just a tad too heavy to tow with a mini van, but really the Suburban should have not had a wink of troubles. So needlesstosay, that took the umph out of camping last year!

Hi, Lora,

II was searching for fellow campers in Colorado and I saw the one comment left to you about the awning lady on ebay. Did you ever get an awning for your camper? I will be in need of one and was wondering what you thought of yours if you got one from her. I live over in Milliken so we are close. I LOVE Estes Park and the campgrounds in the Nat'l. Park. That will be about as far as I want to travel with my little camper but hope to get out with it for the first time this spring.

Thank you Lora, I got my paint from Sherwin Williams Auto paint store, it's called a one step type of paint due to the fact the clear coat is in the paint. This eliminates the extra clear coat step. I also eliminated he primer step by matching up the co;or of the RV. I took a light panel in and they machine matched the colors. I made sure and sanded real good, wiped down the RV with liquid sander. I have a professional looking over my shoulder, but being this is my first time also, I'm very very pleased with the out come. I just shot the sides today, I'll try to post pictures later. Have a great eve. Dickie

I'm not sure about the paneling actually! Really how to clean it, wood cleaner, pledge, wood oil soap?!?! Any ideas? We're really excited to hopefully get it on the road soon, worked most of the day on it yesterday and going to try to get a working brake controller installed today! We've been doing something everyday with it. Someday soon we'll have the reward of actually camping in it! Haha
