Summer of Champ

So, we have been having such a great summer! We have gotten everything going in Champ except we haven't tried the water heater. Furnace, water pump, radio...all working! Engine's runnin strong also, we check the fluids often. We are looking to have another adventure this weekend - we've been taking Champ all over the state of Alaska and we might stick closer to home for some camping/hiking this weekend. It's starting to get chilly (ER) here and the leaves are changing - glad that furnace works!… Continue

welcome to the coolest site for owners of much-loved older rvs!!! Your transtar looks like its in pretty good cosmetic shape for her age, how is she mechanically at this point?...i have noticed a funny trend tho, something i am seeing in a lot of photo albums on here...lol...the tow truck...i have seen several albums now where a tow truck figures prominently in at least one picture....the tow truck has visited us more than once while on the road too so i dont feel so alone any more :)

have fun learning all the motorhome's nuances, habits, etc...its a (mostly) fun learning experience

Hello Spencer's, welcome to GORVs.  I have a 1987 Ford Champion Telstar.  I know there are others who have Champions on here too, one has a Chevy Transtar that I know of.  If you have any questions at all be sure to ask, I am sure that someone on here will have the answer.  You can go to the upper right hand corner of the page and search all of GORVs, just type in Champion and it will give you all it knows.  I love Alaska, spent some time up around Fairbanks and it was absolutely wonderful.
