So a little back story. I am very very new to RVing!!  I love vintage RVS or I should say anything Vintage. My obsession started a couple of years ago and when I saw some show on TV. (I have no idea the name of)  We love to camp. We don't get to do it often maybe twice a year, but I think that's because sometimes we just want to go for the day or maybe just 2 and the thought of setting up everything and taking it all back down the next day just doesn't appeal to us. So an RV or TT would be perfect for us.

So last year I bought a 1973 Jayco Jay Wren Travel Trailer. She was a great deal at $600 bucks. I knew she needed allot of work, but I was down for the challenge. The previous owner had gutted her so I was a little disappointed, but I knew I could work with it. So I started taking her apart piece by piece so I could rebuild the walls one by one. I had gotten the 2 long walls done, but only 1 was attached so far. Well, long story short we had a huge monsoon while I was at work and I came home to find my TT all bent up broken in half and laying on the ground. I actually cried and didn't want anything to do with it ever again. I had poured my heart and soul into her and put so much work into it I just couldn't start over.

So fast forward to 6 or so months ago. I got the itch again.. LOL.. So I started looking at found my 1975 Winnebago Canadian Travel Trailer. She needs allot of work as well, but I don't have to take down any walls. So I'm game. haha. I did take everything out because the stove does not look good and we aren't going to be using it, and I'm taking the water tank out because we will not be using it. Pretty much everything is being taken out and I'm starting to look into getting her wired. I'm excited  to be working on a project again. I cannot wait to take her out and use her.

Glad I found this site!! Seems like there are allot of really knowledgeable people here. And ya'll are so friendly!!

Here's a pic of my Winnie. I'll post more when I have them. They are not on my computer so I'll have to get them off my phone. I wish I could find more owners of the Winnebago  TT. There are not many of us out here..

Here is an Idea I have been pondering.

I have a theory I would like to experiment with. I am open to discussing it.

Winnebago told me they purged all the specs., manuals, and diagrams for everything before 1983, I think it was. I have been gathering what I can, where I can for 6 months. I got zip for the actual year make and model. In fact only a few pictures and brochures remain. So like me your looking at the quintessential D-I-Y.  Here's the link to my theory.
