  Hello, all, just joined and am trying to learn how to navigate this blogosphere, LOL!! Just bought a '67 18ft Go Lite. Will pick it up this Sat. and try to get and post some pics of it. Appearance wise it looks real good so will further check everything out. It's solid white but the PO's wife wanted wheels and tongue painted turquoise green which isn't to our liking so that will be changed when it gets warm enough. He said the fridge would light but won't stay lit so I'm hoping it's just the thermocouple.

The switching issue may be my problem as well. I think my lines are good though. I think. :)

I had issues with my fuel tanks also.  I ended up putting in an electric auxiliary fuel pump that made sure the engine got enough fuel.  I also had issues since prior to me someone had screwed with the switch over valve and they had criss-crossed the lines.  There are a total of 4 lines for 2 tanks.  One for each tank supply line and one for each tank return fuel line.  On mine it was taking fuel from one tank and returning it to the other.  What a mess but all is well now.  I also had to have my primary tank dropped and cleaned out.  The old rubber fuel filler line had rotted out and there was a bunch of goop in the tank plugging the fuel filter.  It took a while but we finally got her fixed.  I hope your situation is not as goofy as mine.

Thanks Gary. It's nice to make friends here.

Considering its age this REVCON was in real decent shape. All aluminum so no rot. Did a quickie seam overcaulk this fall so I have had a dry winter. I'm on my own and no spring chicken so I need to get help to take care of the issues it does have .. but slow and sure, it is coming together. 

But its tricky because I live in it and I am not very mechanically inclined. It is not well insulated but I did notice it did not have a condensation issue this winter. Not sure why but I like that.

I got a great deal on a new stove and furnace which I did have to switch. And now the fridge looks like its not savable. :( 

I've pretty much gotten all the mechanical issues taken care of as far as I know: brakes, radiator leak and broken cooling fan replaced. It runs great. But I still have issues with the fuel tanks. Not sure if one is feeding right.

Some of my friends think I'm a little crazy. But since I am unable to afford to buy a home and have had my fill with renting from  prices to landlords, this is the life style that I am now embracing. But its new to me and so this is quite an adventure all around.

Welcome Aboard!

I have a 1984 Heritage 2000.  I have been restoring it and getting it road worthy so we can hit the road.  These old rigs are like people, use it or lose it.  Mine had been stored for 27 years with under 12,000 miles on it.  Everything had to be gone through and we hope it will all hang together when we start to put some miles on it.
